We’re not bail bondsmen, either, but we may be able to put you in touch with someone who can help with legal issues.

Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (GLA) 404.873.3911

GLA, a pro-bono organization, was very helpful in advising AMERFund during our non-profit incorporation process.  If their services don’t include what you need, they may be able to refer you.  If your emergency finds you somewhere other than Georgia, they still might make a referral.  If all else fails, use our Hot Line number above and we’ll find someone for you.

Substance Abuse/Mental Health:

AA and other 12-step programs listed below are a time-proven resource for anyone struggling with drug-dependency– their own or those of someone close.

These programs do NOT:

• Cost anything. Not a penny. They will probably give you the opportunity to donate, but they won’t look at you funny if you don’t.

• Require you to believe in anything, regardless of what you’ve heard.

• Exclude anyone, for any reason. If you go to a meeting and something doesn’t feel right, try a meeting somewhere else.

• Engage in dogma. (For you metalheads, that means “repeated and unfounded beliefs or behavior”).
